Grade I or Grade II Listed Building
Historic buildings need a qualified and experienced Conservation Surveyor to provide an appropriate and pertinent report prior to any commitment to purchase. The report will provide guidance on responsibility in respect to the conservation of the property in accordance with the recommendations of BS 7913:1998. In addition we can provide a report on the history of the property and its associations.

Defective Detail Surveys
Defects in buildings can be complex and often require a more intensive and sustained analysis. When a building survey does not provide a fully developed building pathology we are able to carry out and facilitate a comprehensive analysis and arrive at a diagnosis and prognosis. This may involve invasive and non-invasive techniques, laboratory analysis and monitoring. The results of the survey and investigation will form part of a report that will enable the owners of the building to plan remedial action through repair, appropriate maintenance and where required preventative conservation.

Statutory Non-compliance Surveys
It may become apparent that a property has been altered or extended without the benefit of statutory approval from the Local Authority. As building control Approved Inspectors we have the specialist expertise to undertake a non-compliance survey and advise on the risk involved and regularisation procedures.
